One of the youngest team of the championship Turkey plays agains the strong USA team. USA won the match 3-1. Young Turkish Chess talent IM Can won the game against strong GM Shulman and take his teams first point.
INDIA: 2,5 – 1,5 : GREECE
India has participated the championship at the last moment instead of China. They made a good result against the strong Greece team. India’s hero is GM Arun!
RUSSIA : 2,5 – 1,5 : BRAZIL
About a week ago Grischuk won the Russian Championship and he has a great performance graphic. He continues his success against Brazilian GM Vescovi and get this match point. Russia started the tournament without any lost.
EGYPT : 1 – 3 : ISRAEL
GM Sutovsky and GM Postny won their games and they helped their teams for a good hello to the great championship. Young Egypt team fighted well but it was not enough to stoped Israel team.
