The 2009 World Team Chess Championship is taking place in Bursa Merinos Atatürk Congress and Culture Center, between 04 - 13 January 2010.
The championship started with a a spectacular opening ceremony in the tournament hall which will be scene of contentious matches from the super grandmasters.
For nine days, 10 leading teams will fight to win the most prestigious throphy of the chess world .

The President of the Turkish Chess Federation Mr. Ali Nihat Yazici, thanked and expressed his appreciation to the Mayor in behalf of The Mucipality of Bursa, for hosting this big organization.
